First-person shooter games are somewhat more difficult to play on a mobile device or even a console, than on PC. This made shooter games more popular on PC. Still, there are plenty of enjoyable first-person shooters available to play on a mobile device, including Special Forces Group 2.
The download size is currently around 200MB, which is actually quite a lot considering how the game is clean from everything not related to the actual gameplay. The game looks and feels like Counter Strike 1.6, and that is definitely not an accident.
Everything is quite similar: the home menu, matchmaking, weapons, graphics, and the old "(Counter) Terrorist Win!" sound which really took us way back. You can choose to play with bots or you can play multiplayer.
Multiplayer can be played locally with your friends via LAN or you can take it online and join one of many servers available to play. Most servers play on the classic Dust 2 map from Counter Strike. Game modes include Classic, DeathMatch, Capture the Flag, Bomb Mode, Knives Mode, and even Zombies!
The gameplay feels like CS 1.6, but it's quite difficult to get the hang of the controls. Moving, aiming and firing at the same time feels almost impossible when you begin. However, since everyone kept killing us easily, we understood that practice makes perfect! The game is great to pick up and play instantly, but only after you watch an ad before joining any game.
